Examination and Grading

The per semester course load of the programs consist of up to 8 subjects covering different areas of the Fashion and Textiles. Clearing these subjects takes the student to the next semester. These courses are taught over a period of 4 to 4 1/2 month long semester. The performance of the students in the semester is evaluated through a continuous testing procedure spread over the entire period of studies. Besides the final-term exam, there are hourlies, short quizzes, reports and presentations etc.
Quizzes/Class Performance/ Assignments: 20%
Midterm: 30%
Final Examinations: 50%

Attendance at all prescribed and elective lectures and seminars is mandatory. At least 80% attendance is compulsory. Four or more absences in a subject will result in an F grade.

B+ 81 - 87
B 74 - 80
C+ 67 - 73
C 60 - 66
F Below 60

University policy does not allow the provision of "make-up" examinations in any course under any circumstances.
  • The weightage assigned to examination, assignments, quizzes and research papers are left to the discretion and judgment of the course instructor.
  • Students who wish to apply for scrutiny of the answer scripts are required to submit their requests to the Controller of Examinations. The scrutiny will be restricted to re-tabulating and ensuring there are no unmarked answers

Requirement

To be submitted with the Admission Form

Sum of Rs. 1000/- will be charged for the processing of the form at the time of submission.
Attested photocopy of Intermediate mark sheet and certificate.
Attested photocopy of Matriculation mark sheet and certificate.
Four Passport size photograph.
Two CNIC copies.
Equivalency certificate from IBCC Board ( incase of O/A Levels ).

Examination Record
  • Student's records are maintained for various academic purposes. Information about specific procedures is available upon request from the Controller of Examinations. Records include name, dates of attendance, enrollment, awards, honors etc.
  • SA student may obtain a copy of his or her records on request by completing a transcript form available at the student affairs office. This will be charged under the transcript fee account.
